His work is rooted in an animistic, earth-based worldview and bridges transpersonal and depth psychology, shamanism, magic, and the occult. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Harvard, he spent nearly two decades as an actor, including on Broadway, before devoting himself full time to spiritual work. He has studied with shamans on four continents, is a master teacher in three lineages of Reiki, and has taught at Omega Institute, the Shift Network, NYU, and Penn State. My guest is author, teacher, transpersonal counselor, and shamanic practitioner Jonathan Hammond, joining me from Maui. He traces his path from Broadway actor and overextended empath to two decades of shamanic work, and makes the case that the shift in consciousness underway is really a return to indigenous mind. We get into Wetiko, the three worlds of shamanic cosmology, Ho'oponopono phrase by phrase, giving our thoughts movement, and why men need to reconnect with softness and the feminine. Plus a preview of his new book, Rewilding Consciousness.
