  • S2 | E18 Ken Moench

    October 15th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 24 mins
    #bodywork, #everybabyhurts, #fascia, #moenchmethod, #myofascialrelease, #painrelief, #sleepposture, #sportsrecovery, #stretching, #thepermissionslip

My guest is Ken Moench, founder of Moench Method Bodywork, whose four Austin-area clinics combine myofascial release, ischemic pressure, and guided range of motion to release chronically tight muscle and fascia. Fresh off several hours on his table, I ask how a layoff, a prayer, and a job as a physical therapy aide led to his method, and how his screaming newborn grandson inspired his book, Every Baby Hurts. We also get into sleep posture, how to stretch without hurting yourself, athletes, dogs, and why Ken celebrates when his clients' visit numbers go down.

  • S2 | E17 Neil Gehani

    October 8th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 20 mins
    #thepermissionslip #mindlumen #psychedelicethics #harmreduction #decriminalization #mdma #psilocybin #ayahuasca #plantmedicine #mentalhealth #podcast #neilgehani #integration #dancesafe #adhd

Neil Gehani calls himself an "ethics sherpa" — and after hearing his story, I understand why he's earned that title. Neil grew up in a brutal British-style military boarding school in India, sent there by his parents at four and a half years old and seeing them only twice a year until he was 15. He came to the U.S. alone at 16, landed in Ohio not knowing what a hotel, Thanksgiving, or pizza was, and eventually built a long career in Silicon Valley tech — riding the dot-com bust, the 2008 recession, and a period near-homelessness before rebuilding.

In 2017, an unexpected dose at the Oregon Eclipse festival cracked something open, and Neil spent the next several years going deep into therapeutic and recreational psychedelic work — MDMA, mushrooms, ayahuasca, acid, ketamine — while searching for an ethical, safe guide. It took him three years to find one. That gap is what led him to found Mind Lumen, a nonprofit that doesn't provide psychedelic therapy itself but instead certifies facilitators, guides, and retreats on observable, measurable ethical practices (things like integration session counts, facilitator-to-participant ratios, and testimonial timing).

We get into the difference between "therapeutic" and "recreational" use, why decriminalization and commercialization are not the same thing, drug-testing advocacy (DanceSafe, anonymized testing), the Asian Psychedelic Society he founded in the Bay Area, and how psychedelics reshaped his relationship to his ADHD, his creativity, and what he calls living a "blissful" rather than "happy" life.

  • S2 | E16 Cindy Anderson

    October 1st, 2026  |  Season 2  |  50 mins 21 secs
    #thepermissionslip #spiritguides #soulpiphany #spiritualawakening #intuition #channeling #psychicdevelopment #discernment #podcast #spiritualjourney #mindfulness #personaltransformation

In this episode I talk with Cindy "Seer" Anderson, founder of Soulpiphany, about her decade-plus journey learning to communicate directly with her spirit guide, Helios. Cindy shares how a normal, left-brained corporate marketing and real estate career gave way to a midlife reckoning, and how a single question — "Do I have a guide?" — led to an immediate answer on June 5, 2014, a date she calls both a death date and a birth date.

We get into how she learned to discern her guide's voice from her own internal chatter, and she introduces the idea of a "fingerprint signature" — a physical sensation (warmth in her heart, in her case) that tells her a download is coming. She walks me through the boundaries she teaches: your guide is a co-pilot, not a commander, and you remain CEO of your own life.

Cindy also opens up about building her free five-day Call Your Guide Challenge, and shares a few of her favorite success stories — including her late mother's "I love you" letters, an 88-year-old widow rediscovering purpose in small moments, and a Type-A friend who got life-changing advice from her guide to simply go sit on the patio with a beverage. We close out talking about coming out of the "spiritual closet," and where she thinks AI does (and very much doesn't) belong in this kind of work.

  • S2 | E15 Marisa Skolky

    September 24th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 10 mins
    #ayahuasca, #consciousnesswork, #eatingdisorderrecovery, #energetichealing, #expressiveartstherapy, #healingjourney, #ibogaine, #internalfamilysystems, #marisaskolky, #plantmedicine, #psychedelicintegration, #selfesteem, #somatichealing, #thepermissionslip, #traumahealing

I sit down with Marisa Skolky — transformational doula, psychedelic guide, and expressive arts therapist from Atlanta — for a conversation that moves through her own 16-year battle with bulimia, a corporate career she outgrew, and the medicines that finally let her healing "land." We talk ibogaine, ayahuasca, DMT, and the five-part process she uses to help clients move through anger, grief, and everything in between.

  • S2 | E14 Michele Phillips

    September 17th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  54 mins 12 secs

I sit down with corporate trainer, executive coach, and author Michele Phillips — the self-described bridge from the yoga mat to the boardroom — to talk about energy management, the "ladder up" technique for moving through emotional states, and why conscious leadership might be the thing that finally saves us from burnout culture.

  • S2 | E13 Dr. Peter Grinspoon

    September 10th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  39 mins 51 secs
    #addictionmedicine, #addictionrecovery, #agingwellwithcannabis, #cannabis, #cannabislegalization, #cannabismedicine, #cbd, #chronicpain, #harmreduction, #harvardmedicalschool, #kratom, #medicalmarijuana, #petergrinspoon, #thc, #thepermissionslip, #warondrugs

In this conversation with Dr. Peter Grinspoon — Harvard Medical School instructor, primary care physician, and board-certified addiction specialist at Mass General — we have a wide-ranging, refreshingly honest conversation about cannabis, addiction, and the messy human truths in between. Peter opens up about losing his medical license to a prescription painkiller addiction, coming from a family legacy of cannabis advocacy (his father wrote the influential 1971 book Marihuana Reconsidered), and why he believes legalization — not just decriminalization — is the only coherent path forward. We get into the real benefits and real harms of cannabis, who should avoid it, the dangers of over-concentrated products like 7-OH kratom, and why he'd rather see people support the mom-and-pop dispensary over the corporate cannabis conglomerate.

  • S2 | E12 Jeremy Robinson

    August 11th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 25 mins
    #ayahuasca, #burnout, #conscioushealing, #depression, #emdr, #guidework, #healingjourney, #indigenouswisdom, #integration, #ketamine, #mdmatherapy, #medicinesitter, #mentalhealthjourney, #plantmedicine, #psilocybin, #psychedelichealing, #somatichealing, #spiritualgrowth, #thepermissionslip, #traumahealing

I sit down with Jeremy Robinson, a medicine sitter from Northern California, to talk about his path from a homeless, bullied Gen X childhood into a burnout-fueled reckoning with suicidal thoughts, and finally into years of deep work with ketamine, MDMA, and psilocybin. We dig into guiding ethics, consent, the myth of the one-session cure, and the beauty of indigenous medicine traditions.

  • S2 | E11 Joanne DiMaggio

    August 5th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  37 mins 11 secs

In this episode, I sit down with reincarnation researcher, hypnotherapist, and author Joanne DiMaggio to explore past life regression, soul writing, and the karmic threads that connect our current struggles to lives we've already lived.

  • S2 | E10 Christopher Solomon

    June 15th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  58 mins 17 secs
    #consciousness, #defaultmodenetwork, #embodiment, #entheogens, #harmreduction, #holistichealing, #meditation, #microdosing, #permissionslippodcast, #plantmedicine, #psychedelics, #salviadivinorum, #somaticsalvia, #somatictherapy, #spirituality, #thepermissionslip

In this episode I sit down with Christopher Solomon, a somatic salvia guide based in Mendocino County, California, to explore a plant that most people either know nothing about or fear outright. Christopher walks me through his long, winding path with Salvia divinorum — from a strange first encounter in high school in Dallas to the spontaneous healing of a swollen lymph node that doctors wanted to surgically remove. We dig into why the conventional "smoke a big bowl and brace yourself" advice gets it completely backward, and how working with tiny, titrated doses paired with meditation transforms Salvia into a gentle, relational teacher rather than a terrifying five-minute ride. It's a conversation about reverence, somatic awareness, and the surprising therapeutic range of one of the most misunderstood plants out there.

  • S2 | E9 Dr. Katie Simons, PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist, Transpersonal Hypnotherapist, Psychedelic Medicine Facilitator and Coach

    June 8th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 10 mins
    #authentichealing, #ayahuasca, #ayahuascaceremony, #burnoutrecovery, #defaultmodenetwork, #freedomthroughhealing, #harmreduction, #healingjourney, #holistichealth, #hypnotherapy, #innerchildwork, #integrationwork, #katiesimons, #mdma, #medicinejourney, #mentalhealthalternatives, #microdosing, #nervoussystemhealing, #nervoussystemregulation, #partswork, #psilocybin, #psychedelicfacilitation, #psychedelicmedicine, #santafe, #solojourney, #somaticbreathwork, #somatichealing, #subconsciousmind, #thepermissionslip, #traumahealing

In this episode, I sit down with Katie Simons — a doctor of pharmacy turned hypnotherapist, somatic breathwork facilitator, and psychedelic medicine guide — for one of the most wide-ranging and personally resonant conversations I've had on the show. We trace her journey from a decade inside the VA healthcare system to stepping fully into the healing space, and dig deep into psychedelics, nervous system regulation, integration, and what it actually means to be healed.

  • S2 | E8 Luke Lindstrom, Conscious Channel and Intuitive Healer

    June 1st, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 13 mins
    #bodywisdom, #chicago, #codependency, #consciouschanneling, #familyoforigin, #healingjourney, #healingpodcast, #homelessness, #hooponopono, #intuitivehealer, #lukelindstrom, #mattkahn, #mentalhealth, #mindfulness, #nervoussystemhealing, #paulselig, #peersupport, #permissionslippodcast, #personalgrowth, #pornographyrecovery, #reparenting, #romanticrelationships, #selflove, #sivanandayoga, #somatictherapy, #soulmates, #spirituality, #traumahealing, #unityconsciousness, #wellness

In this episode, I sit down with Luke Lindstrom — intuitive healer, channel, and peer support worker — who I met at a Paul Selig workshop here in Chicago. Luke shares his remarkable journey from a deeply shut-down, isolated teenager in the suburbs of Detroit to a 28-year-old who channels higher guidance and works daily with some of the most marginalized members of our community. We talk about somatic therapy, the healing power of aloneness, conscious channeling, pornography addiction, romantic relationships, and what it really means to treat every human being as an extension of yourself.

  • S2 | E7 LeRoy Gordon, Fitness and Yoga Instructor, a Reiki Healer and a Men's Group Leader

    April 16th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 12 mins

I sat down with LeRoy Gordon — a man who grew up in Cabrini Green, became a police officer, toured as a pro wrestler, and has now found his calling as a yoga instructor, Reiki healer, and men's group leader. We trace his remarkable journey from childhood trauma and survival mode to deep healing work through Landmark, plant medicine, men's groups, and radical honesty in relationships.

  • S2 | E6 Wendy Perkins Shoef, ADHD Microdosing and Neuro-Pleasure Coach and More

    April 9th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 13 mins
    #adhdbrain, #adhdcoach, #businesscoaching, #creativeenergy, #emotionalregulation, #harmreduction, #holisticentrepreneur, #impostersyndrome, #microdosinglsd, #microdosingsupportgroup, #mindbodybusiness, #nervoussystemregulation, #neuropleasurecoach, #pelvicfloor, #permissionslip, #permissionslippodcast, #psilocybin, #psychedelicmedicine, #sexualenergy, #sexualwellness, #shamelessliving, #soloentrepreneur, #successdoula, #wholeperson, #yonidearmouring

In this episode, I'm joined by Wendy Perkins Schoef — the "Success Doula" — an ADHD, Microdosing, and Neuro Pleasure Coach who helps solo entrepreneurs grow their businesses by working with their whole selves, not just their to-do lists. Wendy walks me through her four-pillar framework of Goal, Set, Setting, and Intention, and how she applies it to everything from microdosing protocol development to nervous system regulation to sexual wellness. We explore why psilocybin and LSD work so differently as microdosing tools, how unresolved emotional dysregulation shows up as business stagnation, and why creative energy and sexual energy are ultimately the same thing. We also talk openly about yoni dearmouring, prostate work, the societal shame still wrapped around bodies and pleasure, and the importance of harm reduction when exploring psychedelic medicines. This is a rich, honest, and wide-ranging conversation about what it really means to run a business — and live a life — as a whole, embodied human being.

  • S2 | E5 Karen Kubicko, Psychic Intuitive, Reiki Master & More

    April 3rd, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 12 mins
    #abuserecovery, #awakening, #brianweiss, #channeling, #consciousness, #efttapping, #empath, #empathhealing, #healingjourney, #higherself, #hypnotherapy, #innerwisdom, #intuitivehealing, #karenkubicko, #manifesting, #metaphysics, #neardeathexperience, #pastliferegression, #pastlives, #psychicintuitive, #reiki, #rootcausehealing, #soulhealing, #spiritguides, #spiritualawakening, #spiritualpodcast, #thepermissionslip, #trustyourintuition, #wholesoulreading, #youaremore

I sat down with Pittsburgh-based psychic, hypnotist, and past life regressionist Karen Kubicko to talk about how two near-death experiences — one during an emergency C-section and another in a car accident — blew open her spiritual gifts and set her on a path of soul-level healing work. Together we explored past life regression as a tool for breaking deep-rooted patterns like abuse cycles, fear, and anxiety, and we got into how empathic sensitivity, spirit guides, and intuition can be understood, managed, and reclaimed. This one is a grounded, practical, and deeply personal look at what it means to wake up to the truth that we are far more than our current human experience.

  • S2 | E4 Pascale Falempin, Pilates & Breathwork Instructor

    March 22nd, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 11 mins

In this conversation with Pascale Falempin, I explore what it really means to come back into the body. Pascale shares her journey from a sheltered upbringing in Corsica to a professional dance career and ultimately into breathwork and somatic practice. We talk about the quiet disconnection many of us carry, the intelligence of the body, and how breath, movement, and awareness can become powerful gateways to healing, presence, and self-trust.

  • S2 | E3 Christopher Sunyata, Men's Coach, Meditation Teacher & Engineer

    March 12th, 2026  |  Season 2  |  1 hr 19 mins
    #breathwork, #consciousrelationship, #embodiedpresence, #kundalinienergy, #masculineembodiment, #menswork, #nervoussystemhealing, #polaritywork, #psychedelicintegration, #sacredsexuality, #spiritualawakening, #tantra

In this episode, I sit down with Christopher Sunyata—engineer, Buddhist meditation teacher, and men’s coach—to explore what it really means to embody grounded masculine presence.

We talk about trauma, breath, kundalini energy, polarity, multi-orgasmic potential for men, and the profound link between sexuality and spiritual awakening. Christopher shares how bullying, a near-death childhood experience, divorce, fatherhood, psychotherapy, psychedelics, and decades of practice shaped the man he is today.

This is a conversation about safety in the body, depth in relationship, and reclaiming sexuality as a path of consciousness—not performance.
